UPDATE & DONATIONS
So many Burn Survivors do not have the funding to attend The Phoenix Society's World Burn Congress (WBC). The WBC is a very special get together for Burn Survivors, their family, friends, people
in the field, clergy and others. For aBurn Survivor the WBC is a very special time in their life. They get to meet and share feelings with other Burn Survivors that have been pushed away. Their body scars and other problems are safer to be seen in front of the only ones that share such a life.
People build friendships that grow even after the WBC is over.
Some Burn Survivors reach out for help. They can become depressed, anxious and have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder during their stay. But the ones that have passed that stage or at least have it under control make sure that their
family members feel safe. Non Burn Survivors who take part in this and other events reach out with love, care and uplifting attitudes.
So many Burn Survivors always wish that the WBC never ends. Some become upset because they may not make it next year. They need Funding. So many parts of the
World does not understand the need that a Burn Survivor has to know that they will be going to the WBC. Others do not realize the positive time it brings. Also that a small amount of money donated to a Burn Survivor, which
adds up to them going to the WBC, helps many of them to have the most positive and memorable time of their life.
The WBC brings us together for several days. Burn Survivors Throughout The World, Inc. and others work in all different types of ways to help Burn Survivors, family and friends before, during
and after the WBC.
So remember anyone that donates will be helping the lives of every Burn Survivor that makes it to the WBC 2008.

The 20th annual WBC 2008 is going to be held on October 1-4, 2008 at the Raleigh Conventional Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. The local hosts for the WBC 2008 are
the North Carolina Department of Insurance, Office of State Fire Marshal, the UNC Hospitals and the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center. In January 2008 BSTTW will receive the
Hotel accomidations, application fees, registation information, the WBC 2008 Schedule and BSTTW Funding. Keep checking our internet site.
BSTTW is asking burn survivors, family members, companies, foundations, organizations, schools and fire department to help raise funding for the BSTTW WBC Fund.
BSTTW would like to send 5-10 burn survivors and family members to the WBC 2008, offer a support team at the WBC 2008 and have a booth with burn survivors stories, articles and the BSTTW Music CD.
