Michael Appleman: Executive Director
Michael has been a burn survivor since May 1998. He founded Burn Survivors Throughout The World, Inc. in February 2000. By directing his strength into helping others, Michael has helped many burn survivors and family members to rebuild their lives. He has also taken part in teaching our young the need for fire safety. In 2001 Michael found the leaders needed to help build a Corporation and BSTTW has become a 501(c)(3) Non Profit Organization. That has helped to open up many doors around the world. Julie Olinger: Assistant Director-Colorado
Julie suffered a burn injury and with the support and love from her family, doctors, and burn unit worked very hard to take the steps needed to recover and rebuild her life. Today Julie is volunteering her time as the BSTTW Assistant Director in Colorado and offering the support, education and fund raising needed to increase fire safety education and help rebuild the lives of the current and future burn survivors in all of Colorado.

Mexico
Ariel Gonzalez: Director - Mexico
Ariel was severely burned in a house fire. After a great deal of medical work and rehabilitation in a hospital in Mexico and Austin, Texas, Ariel returned home to Mexico. Ariel, a guitarist, began to play his guitars again and realized that a burn survivors life was not over. Ariel then started volunteering for BSTTW, recorded the BSTTW Music CD, and has helped many burn survivors. Due to all of his hard work, Ariel has given the BSTTW Director - Mexico position. Viet Nam
Nguyen Thi Dieu Tran: Director - Viet Nam
Ms. Tran is a burn survivor from Viet Nam. In August 2001, Ms. Tran started working with BSTTW as our Vietnamese Representative. With all the hard work and accomplishments, Ms. Tran was been given the BSTTW Director - Viet Nam position. You can contact Ms. Tran at: tran@burnsurvivorsttw.org
Nguyen Cong Thien: Assistant Director - Viet Nam
Cong Thien began volunteering with BSTTW when he learned that a family member suffered a burn injury. Since then, Cong Thien has offered all that is needed to increase BSTTW's work in Viet Nam. With volunteers like Cong Thien, BSTTW continue to offer the support, funding, medical supplies and education needed to rebuild the lives of the current and future burn survivors in Viet Nam.
