Fire Safety is a very important area that we all need to understand and practice. Without the extensive knowledge our families, our work and even our lives can suffer. It is estimated that 4,300 persons are killed in the United States each year and 27,000 are injured. From the statistics in Europe it estimated that over 4,000 killed and 80,000 injuries per year.
The United States has a severe fire problem. Nationally, there are millions of fires, thousands of deaths, tens of thousands of injuries, and billions of dollars are lossed due to the fires. These statistics show that in the United States we have a fire crisis. Between 1996 and 2005, in the United States alone, an average of 3,931 Americans lost their lives and another 20,927 were injured annually due to fire related incidents. These averages do not reflect the statistics from the destruction on September 11, 2001.
